2021 Kia Seltos Trim Levels
Kia Seltos LX
Starting us off is the Seltos LX trim level. This is the lowest trim level and even with this trim you’re loaded up with features, tech, and comfort.
First and foremost, the Kia Seltos LX trim level comes standard with All Wheel Drive and a 2.0L Multi-Port Injection (MPI) 4-cylinder engine with 146 horsepower and 132 lb.-ft. of torque! A nice amount of power for such an affordable mid-sized SUV.
It’s exterior is equipped with 17-inch Alloy wheels with dark gray finish, Bi-function projector headlights with auto light control and daytime running headlights, and Heated Privacy glass (rear side, tailgate).
Inside this beauty fits 5 passengers comfortably and has dynamic compatibility for the cargo space you’ll need! Each trim’s rear seat is a 60/40 split-folding with 2-way recline enabling cargo space to reach up to 62.8 cu. ft.! As the driver, enjoy a 8-inch touchscreen AM/FM/MP3 with Bluetooth, Android Auto, Apple CarPlay and Voice Recognition (DA 2.0) on 6 depth defying speakers!

Kia Seltos S
Next is the Kia Seltos S trim level (comes with all the previously mentioned features or is replaces with an upgraded version). This is the only trim level that comes standard as front wheel drive but has an optional AWD upgrade. But with the New Jersey weather and off-roading potential, we don’t expect FWD to fly off the shelves as the AWD will. The S also offers an optional 1.6L Turbo Gasoline Direct Injection (GDI) 4-cylinder engine and 7-Speed Dual Clutch Transmission (DCT) upgrade!
What exterior differences can be found on the S? First off, the S trim has LED lamps, LED Daytime Running Light (DRL), LED rear combination lamps and heated outside mirrors with integrated LED turn signals! You’ll be shining with those bright lights, chrome window belt-line, and black and chrome coated radiator grille. This Seltos trim level also comes standard with roof rails!
More optional features in the Seltos S are 18-inch alloy wheels, a two tone roof, and door garnishes for a slightly sleeker look.
Hopping inside, your seats are upgraded to Kia’s Sofino premium leatherette seat trim, which is extreme easy to clean! We expect many parents will appreciate that. We also have beautiful chrome door handles, a leather wrapped steering wheel and gear shift knob, and unique blue dashboard stitching. In this level, you have available Heated front seats (3-level) for some extra coziness!
Who doesn’t love driver assistance and convenience tech! Safety is top priority and the additional tech could save you from an accident as well as make your drive smoother. Unlike the LX trim, the Seltos S trim level comes with Driver Attention Warning (DAW), Forward Collision Avoidance Assist with car and pedestrian detection, Lane Departure Warning System (LDWS), Lane Following Assist (LFA), and Lane Keep Assist System (LKAS). For an extra boost of safety, you can add Blind Spot Collision Avoidance Assist (BCA-R), Rear Cross-Traffic Collision Avoidance Assist (RCCA), and Safe Exit Assist (SEA) to this configuration.
Kia Seltos EX
More features, more options, and more bang for your buck! Let’s take a look at the EX trim level of the new 2021 Seltos. Not only do you get all the previously mentioned features but the following too!
You won’t find much exterior differences between the Seltos S and Seltos EX. The real goodies can be found on the side! Take advantage of heated front seats and smooth leather seating all around! You will thank the Solar glass (windshield, front doors) and Single-zone automatic climate control with auto defog and rear air vent in New Jersey’s extreme hot and colds! As the driver, charge your phone on the wireless charging pad and who doesn’t love remote start!? The S trim comes standard with Smart Key and push-button start which includes immobilizer and remote start button on key fob!
Look up! Yes, there will be a sunroof! Aren’t you spoiled with this trim!
Lastly, the optional safety tech on the S is standard on the EX: Blind Spot Collision Avoidance Assist (BCA-R), Rear Cross-Traffic Collision Avoidance Assist (RCCA), and Safe Exit Assist (SEA).

Let’s begin with under the hood. You’ll find a 1.6L Turbo Gasoline Direct Injection (GDI) 4-cylinder engine with a 7-Speed Dual Clutch Transmission (DCT)! That along with the compact size of this SUV, you’ll be zooming and zipping around like a bee!
On the front end, this bad boy is upgraded with LED Bi-function Multi-Focus Reflector headlights (MFR), LED Front fog lamps, and Chrome outside door handles. Unfortunately, the sunroof isn’t standard on this but is optional!
Inside, enjoy all the previously mentioned features plus a fancy Electrochromatic rear view mirror and a large 10.25-inch Touchscreen Navigation with AM/FM, Satellite Radio, UVO telematics, Android Auto, Apple CarPlay and Voice Recognition (AVN 5 Wide) blasting on Bose premium audio and sound connected mood lamp!
